Issue 127
First up is Issue 127, guest-edited by our very own Lesley Conner, which releases November 2nd. Packed full of new fiction from Marie Croke, Izzy Wasserstein, Carson Winter, Erin K. Wagner, Stephanie Kraner, and Zahra Mukhi, classic fiction from Nicole Givens Kurtz and Michael Boatman, and nonfiction by Carlos Hernandez and Gerald L. Coleman, this issue is a special one. Take a look at the cover by Magdalena Pągowska for a hint of how awesome it will be.
Holiday Horrors Flash Contest
The submissions portal for our Holiday Horrors Flash Contest is open until November 15. This year we're getting in touch with our horrific roots with the theme of Halloween. Tell us tales of trick-or-treating gone wrong, monsters lurking in the darkness to grab kiddies on their way home, or teens who accidentally raise the dead.
Halloween is the scariest holiday of them all, so finding a way to twist it into something new and exciting will be a trick, and will definitely give us all a treat!
November Book of the Month
Our November Patreon Book of the Month is "Midnight" by Mari Adkins. That will go out to our bookish aliens the first week of November.Midnightis a work of Southern Gothic beauty infused with the mysticism of Appalachian culture.
To celebrate the Book of the Month, the author will besharing some insights and thoughts about her book on our Patreon. Stay Tuned!

Game 'Night'
We'll be having our monthly game 'night' on the Discord at 1pm eastern, Thursday, November 18th. Code Names is "a game of guessing which codenames (i.e., words) in a set are related to a hint-word given by another player." Explore the weird ways our brains connect words and help your team to victory!
