M. M. Olivas is a first generation Mexican-American storyteller, daydreamer, Chicana-futurist, and alumnus to 2022 Clarion Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers’ Workshop. M. M. was the recipient of George R.R. Martin’s Sense of Wonder Scholarship in 2022, and is currently a member of SFWA. Published in Uncanny Magazine, Bourbon Penn Magazine, and Weird Horror Magazine to name a few, M. M.’s work explores the intersection of Latine and queer experiences. When not working on her MFA at San Jose State University, M. M. spends her time feeding her affinity for monster movies and collecting transforming robots. M. M.
