Mariano Villarreal

Mariano Villarreal is the webmaster of Literatura Fantástica, a Spanish website specialized in information and criticism on science fiction, fantasy, and horror (http://literfan.cyberdark.net/). He has edited around twenty fantastic-themed anthologies in Spain for major publishers such as Penguin Random House and small press, among which stands out the Terra Nova - Contemporary Science Fiction series (four books, one of them in English), for which he won four Ignotus Awards (the Spanish Hugo). He has published articles and reviews in many magazines, including The New York Review of Science Fiction, in addition to taking part as a jury for some fantastic awards. He is currently working on an ambitious project to rescue and value the history of Spanish science fiction.
