Apex Book Company is delighted to announce the acquisition of a new novella by Jason Sanford entitled "We Who Hunt Alexanders".
In this fast-paced story, a neurodivergent monster named Amelia confronts both her mother's expectations for her life and a gothic city where religious extremists threaten everyone who disagrees with them.

Jason Sanford's first novel Plague Birds was a finalist for both the 2022 Nebula Award and the 2022 Philip K. Dick Award. Two collections of his short stories have also been released: Never Never Stories and Heaven’s Touch and Other Science Fiction Dreams. More than a dozen of Jason’s short stories have been pulished in Interzone, which once devoted a special issue to his fiction. He’s also been published in Asimov's, Analog, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Fireside, InterGalactic Medicine Show, TalesWe of the Unanticipated, and been included in multiple "year's best" story collections. His stories have been translated into several languages, including Chinese, Spanish, French, Russian, Polish, Hungarian, Italian and Czech. He's also a three-time finalist for the Hugo Award for Best Fan Writer for his Genre Grapevine column. Born and raised in the American South, Jason's previous experience includes work as an archaeologist and as a Peace Corps Volunteer.
