Allison Mills is a Cree and settler writer, archivist, librarian, and researcher with a thing about ghosts. She currently lives and works on unceded Musqueam, Tsleil-Waututh, and Squamish land in Vancouver, BC.

Sturgis earned her Ph.D. in Intellectual History from Vanderbilt University, teaches at Lenoir-Rhyne University, and specializes in Science Fiction/Fantasy and Indigenous American Studies.
