Social Media Manager

Apex Publications, LLC is looking for a part-time social media manager to create and schedule promotional posts for Apex Book Company and Apex Magazine.

Job Requirements:

  • Oversee our three primary social media outlets: Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
  • Create simple promotional graphics in each platform’s preferred image size based on copy provided by the Apex editorial team.
  • Engage with our audience and direct any support questions to the editorial team.
  • Post updates to our social media platforms.
  • Familiar with social media culture.
  • Able to use Discord to communicate with the editorial team.
  • Help construct a social media calendar in coordination with team editors.

Nice, but not necessary:

  • Basic graphic design skills.
  • Familiar with Canva.

Job Details

  • 100% remote
  • 10 hours a month approximately
  • $10 per hour
  • This is a 1099 position.

Our ideal candidate is someone with fantastic organizational skills who enjoys the interactive component of the job. The position is a great way to get your foot in the door and get a behind-the-scenes look at how the small press publishing world operates while making some coffee money.
