Keep It Short: Tips and Tricks for Writing Flash Fiction

Writing flash and micro fiction can be a satisfying, quick way to tell stories and there are an increasing number of markets for both forms. Getting a story right in under 1000 words, or in the case of micro fiction, under 250, is a challenge. This workshop will be part lecture and part workshop, including feedback from Apex Magazine Flash Fiction editor Rebecca E. Treasure.

Expectations: Audio required. Video is preferred, but not necessary.
After the workshop is completed, you will be provided a digital packet containing lecture materials and any pertinent resource links.

Instructor Bio: Rebecca grew up reading in the Rockies. After living many places, including the Gulf Coast & Tokyo, she began writing fiction. Rebecca's short fiction has been published by Flame Tree, Zooscape Magazine, Galaxy's Edge, and others. She is an editor at Apex Magazine and a writing mentor. She juggles children, corgis, and writing. She only drops the children occasionally.
