"I was lucky enough to be able to take part in Apex Magazine's first virtual workshop led by Editor in Chief, Jason Sizemore. This two hour workshop covered how to write an effective short story opening. I learned so much and think it's something all aspiring writers could learn from. Jason is incredibly knowledgeable and offered the workshop in a small, intimate setting that allowed writers to get to know each other and learn more about the craft. This workshop is not one to miss if you want to continue improving your craft in writing short fiction."
—Nicole Fuschetti, workshop participant
